Jackson County Water Utility, Inc. is a regulated Not For Profit Corporation that was incorporated with the Secretary of State on September 22, 1970. Jackson County Water Utility is responsible for providing safe reliable water treatment and distribution in Jackson County and surrounding areas. We provide safe drinking water through over 5,600 meter connections. Our functions include receiving the scheduled readings of all meters; providing customers information about water emergencies; performing service; preparing and sending the monthly billing statements; processing and posting various forms of payment to customer’s accounts; handling the collection efforts of delinquent accounts, and responding to various customer requests.
Our rates and charges along with our rules must be approved by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
